Region: Western Cape, South Africa.
Grape: Cabernet Sauvignon & Chenin Blanc/Sauvignon Blanc.
Colour: Red & White.
Tasting Notes: The Cabernet Sauvignon has appealing berry and savoury characters on the nose whilst the mouth is packed with rich, robust fruit. The style is vigorous, almost rustic, with ripe cherries, blackcurrants and green pepper predominant.
The Chenin Blanc is a light, bright colour with limey tinge. The nose explodes with yellow and tropical fruits like mango and freshly-picked lemons. The fruit follows through on the palate with notes of lemon grass.
Alc/vol: The Chenin Blanc is 14% & the Cabernet Sauvignon is 13.5%.
Serving Suggestion: The Chenin Blanc is food friendly and will match well with any dish from creamy pasta to spicy Thai. The high acidity will reduce the saltiness of seafood or sushi. Try the Cabernet Sauvignon with roast lamb or flank steak.
